Spent some time cleaning out my Wesleyan email--somehow a more relaxing time-killer than cleaning up my room. I finally got around to reading the quota messages that say that after 30 MB I can't receive any non-Wesleyan messages, so for all I know people who I gave up on for not keeping in touch may have had their emails bouncing all this time. One of the few things I remember from grad school orientation was the IT person bragging about how we got a 20 MB quota for our email and eportfolio which was more than we'd ever need. This was only 3 1/2 yrs ago! And now we have gmail with it's 2 GB quota, which doesn't even have a delete button since they want to put an end to people deleting email. Maybe there's such a thing as cyber feng-shui; I feel more comfortable clearing out the clutter and as it is with deleting a fair amount, I'm still already at 2% after only 2 months of using it...
