Went to book signing for Barbara Ehrenreich in Raleigh Monday night for "Bait & Switch". I had just finished it the night before at UNC's library. The place was packed. I was still skeptical about the premise of her book (she basically describes pretending to be a job hunter and about not getting a job). I asked her about "Free Agent Nation" which talks a lot about of the workforce changes and she had never heard of it, dismissing it as being written by "brightsiders". But it seemed clear she had no clue about the workplace and how job searches have changed when she started and is stuck somewhere in the 80s. Gave it a three star review on Amazon. Ironically ended up missing WITI networking event by attending talk but stayed late in effort to organize follow up group and network.

Interview at Natural Sciences museum in Raleigh which was nice though not as related to what I want to do. Dinner with Bianca at cookout--turns out she's getting married which she seemed rather blase about, mentioning casually after over half an hour of talking.
