Approaching three months since graduation and still not working. Wish I had done the Anthro in Guatemala or Chinese summer program since it feels like I just wasted time. My bank account is running on empty though so I guess it's just as well. Went to temp place, but they only hire light industrial for factories. Starting to feel lazy but finally see things on the horizon. After got back from Vegas, finally got to meet Lenovo people. A little weird since they acted like they were doing me a favor by having me meet them so not altogether comfortable with arrangement. Good opportunity though getting a chance to see how product development works.
Finally got nice car. Have been researching for weeks on cars.com, autotrader and craigslist. Feel like got decent deal, especially since Hugo helped us negotiate price. Beautiful exterior except for a few rusty spots and managed to get ahold of original owner who let me know condition--had broken a/c and was told it would take $1500 to fix even though car lot guy said he spent $300 to fix. Still figuring out quirks though and hoping the car will last. Indigo 2000 Toyota Corolla which I'm naming Cielo. Next mission--to find apartment and health insurance since new gig won't have benefits.
Another Topsail retreat this weekend, on more relevant topic but don't think it's worth the $100 fee and long drive. Most was free time on beach and waiting for speaker who never showed up. Topics so similar to Theology on Tap anyway. Miss All Saints Episcopal. Went to Spanish mass in Hamlet last few weeks with mom which was amusing since priest speaks horrible Spanish. Luckily lay people read gospel and homily.
