Sometimes I feel weird that I'm getting so personal on my blog rather than expounding on deep topics like Jason. So here's an interesting comment...

Now, I'm not saying that all LiveJournal users are deep and introspective. But may I suggest that some of the LiveJournalers who are deep and introspective are employing a form of thinking stereotypically associated with women, and their writings are marginalized as a result? I think that LiveJournal is frequently regarded as a trivial medium because the people who write in it write about things that aren't considered "important." That is, they may write brilliant posts about pop culture and politics, but they write those posts alongside posts about their personal life, notes to friends, memes, and the like. In a nutshell, the thing about a LiveJournal is that it doesn't differentiate between the "personal" and the "political."
