A little melancholy. Finally talked with Joe after a while, first thing out of his mouth was that he and Bob were worried about me since they hadn't heard from me. I immediately retorted that they were the ones that had me on their do-not-call list; most people when worried would at least pick up the phone or send an e-mail. We did chat about Star Wars and my job search and when he asked about Bob I just said the guy never answered the phone and couldn't leave message and he agreed saying that even when you reached voice mailbox, it was generally full. J excusing him, saying he was screening calls for people he didn't want to talk to. Feel pathetic for even caring. Not like Jeremy and all these NCSSM people keep in touch that much. But then they're part of the past and have lower expectations since attachment has long since faded

Talked to CB--turns out she's moved to Boston. Finally got away from her abusive boss to get a new job. Same boyfriend issues, but maybe distance will help her see more clearly.

Talking with Cindy, got project, but passing most of it to Alfredo, so he can do a more professional job. Had to work with her to get through some of her English writing issues.

Going through job search, juggling several possibilities, some of which might actually pan out. Got encouraging email last night from a last minute email where I detailed things. So maybe I'll have some options.

Finally saw Baghdad Cafe. No surprises after the musical. Still had the gaps of breakthroughs and mysterious return.

Funny skits on SNL last night--Hardball bringing in guy from Newsweek who broke story on Koran, Maya Rudolph as Condy Rice- "Freedom of the press is one of the things we love about this country. Don't make us take it away". Maya again as Tyra Banks with the judges from "America's Top Model" were hysterical. And then the "Star Wars" fanatics coming into "Monster-in Law" (starring J-lo and J-fo), disturbing customers, but the black guys get blamed. A little jab.
