Tan cansada. Another interesting day in Amy's class talking about "Life on the Screen". Mostly about people spending all their times on MUDs and games. She brought up Friendster, saying that she didn't get the point, wasn't at the stage where she could use it and wouldn't like referring people she barely knew to other famous people. Jose pointed out that a lot of times people used it to find their old friends. She acknowledged that was one use but pressed on with her non-need for it professionally. I raised my hand, but the discussion went on. My point was first that Friendster was more for socializing and since she was married, doesn't have to worry about finding a date. Other sites liked LinkedIn are more appropriate for professional networking. Also, she's in academia so doesn't use networking in the same way, such as someone in say marketing or real estate or more traditional business field might.
