Blah. Somehow erased entire entry so have to write it over. In keeping with blah spirit of day--gloomy day, which added to my sleep deprivation made me sort of cranky. Presented for class, not bad but irritated that other groups went way over. Talked to Sonia and Bob since was thinking of going to Chicago for more flexible fare, but turns out I can't change ticket anyway so might as well not stress and just find another time to go back to Chicago. Just have to figure out what day I'm coming back--along with taxes, have been procrastinating at buying tickets. Parag and Pallavi invited me for lunch, but had to rush back for presentation. Too bad--they went to Thai Chili.
Friday went to see "Hijo de la Novia" which was amazing. Argentinian film played at Ga Tech for film festival. Friday also got invited by classmate Mouna, who's only in the U.S. for another month to go to Savannah. Think we were both surprised, her that I was interested and me that she would invite me. Turned out so-so, wariness about going with strange people relatively late on Saturday over Easter weekend turned out to be somewhat justified--most historic sites were closed Sunday and they ended up wanting to spend most of time on beach getting roasted. Oh well. Saturday evening was cool though--walking around historic district with nice houses and moss, yummy steak at Outback Steakhouse and ghost walk tour which was really fascinating.
Quotes: me: "Somebody burned down Atlanta"
Turkish guy: "What?! I left my car there!"
me: "She ate a dolphin sandwhich--the mammal not the fish. She said it wasn't the cute one, it was the ugly one so it was ok to eat it."
