All my ranting just got erased so guess I'm calmer now. Was pretty distressed today since I'm being let go from my GRA just as I was really starting to get into it. So now I have to compete with all my other classmates who are also struggling to find funding since COC has cut back and can barely even provide for its Ph.D students. Apparently this was news to Jackie, who thought that GVU was rolling in dough. I'm despairing of ever having a real job again--it doesn't seem to matter whether I'm good or bad or friendly or antisocial. Talked to Bob a while after it happened--of course he still worries about the Adler, but still seems to hang on year after year. He suggested I write a book or start a business.

Was thinking about co-oping but with my GPA, not likely. So thinking of signing up for several management classes and getting out as soon as I can while getting as many skills under my belt as possible so I can actually have something to offer.
